"Prophecies": The "gkg" Document

I've recently recovered files from a very old laptop of mine. Most of the documents were written on an older computer than that, in a pre-packaged word processing program that until now I could never find a "translator" for.

I've recovered two very strange documents, one labelled "jk" and the other "gkg" -- both originally written in 2006. They both seem to be of a so-called "prophetic" nature; the former I vaguely remember writing, the latter I completely do not.

Document "gkg" is in two parts:
1) prophecies
2) the nature of aliens, demons and spirit

I'm fairly freaked out about the "gkg" doc as I have zero memory of writing it. I've done a search online to see if this was copy-and-pasted from some forum or other article, but no success. I did try my hand at a bit of "automatic writing" and the like during this period -- though the idea of completely having no memory of writing something is alien and strange to me.

Is this really a "prophecy" or is some of it simply projections based on the current data of the time? The timeline in which this piece takes place is not specified. Certainly, the stuff about hurricanes on the East Coast and subway floodings have come to pass in a quite striking manner. Another part about nuclear strikes is fuzzy. The 2012 thing doesn't predict a specific apocalyptic event. And then you have the "Divine Revelations" stuff which is a whole different matter entirely; I was a Christian at the time, but not anymore. The part about the Mormons completely came out of left field. I still basically believe the "Evolution In Human Consciousness" part, though.

At any rate, I'm going to post the "prophecies" part of the "gkg" doc here, I guess for shits and giggles. But more than that -- as a way for me to better understand why I am so focused on certain topics at the moment (possible epidemics, sudden jumps in human evolution, etc.). Maybe recovering these files came at the right time for my personal evolution; if you find anything of use of it, that's cool as well.


Prophecies


1. The Revolt of Nature: 
This is happening right now. There is no steady progression here -- it is happening right now, and when it is over there will hardly be any place not effected. 


* Plague in most major cities around globe -- mandatory quarantine centers established. This is of course most traumatic in non-Third World cities, scarring the emotional landscape. Establishment of "non-contaminated" quarters of cities like New York, the line between rich & poor drawn. 


* Massive hurricane/flooding up Northeast Coast. Parts of New England effected to the point of Katrina-proportions. Flooding in NYC streets, subways knocked out. Water possibly contaminated. 


* Parts of California underwater following earthquake + tsunami. Golden Gate Bridge destroyed. San Francisco underwater. 


* Massive volcano eruption in the West. Tourist area. Massive casualties, mostly because people unprepared. 


* Solar rays considered too strong to bask in unprotected -- covering & shade required to go outside even in winter. 


* Livestock shortage -- especially poultry & beef due to various diseases. 


* Water shortage -- water valuable commodity as drinkable water supply shrinks & Earth heats up. 


* Massive flooding in large areas of Europe, resulting in unheard of damage to centuries-old landscapes. Sooner rather than later.


* NYC earthquake, enough to change landscape 


2.War:


* Strike on Iran -- not ground war, but heavy bombing massive casualties. 


* Massive strike on Israel following Iran strike -- significant damage & casualties


* Return of Cold War with Russia 


* The beginnings of warlike relations between US and South American countries as natural resources dry up. US looks at South America as "potential supplier" of natural resources whether they like it or not. 


* At least two nuclear strikes within next five years. Pakistan becomes radical Muslim state, and they have the bomb.


* Significant reduction of freedoms, especially in cities, following natural disasters. Cities become unbearable because the lines are drawn so sharply between the poor--who are most likely to be infected with plague/flu--and rich. Many rich flee cities entirely or gentrify them completely and build new cities where poor are bussed in to do menial labor.


* Chinese attempt to invade devastated West Coast of US


* China/Japan/Korea fusion 


 * Attack on NYC resulting in altered skyline 


* US expands borders to include parts of Canada & Mexico 


* Large numbers of US population at Third World level following economic collapse, massive unemployment. Draft held in large part to deal with growing unemployment situation.


3.Human Consciousness Evolution:
 

* Selected people will spontaneously get "enlightened" at an ever increasing rate. Exodus of selected people out of cities or other areas to be effected the most.


* Highly psychic & intelligent children being born


* High number of angelic & demonic "walk-ins" entering human hosts for first time


* Latent angelic/demonic/alien walk-ins spontaneously emerge with great abilities


* Many wonders and miracles; high communication between spirit, interdimensional, & human worlds


* "breakdown" in our current conception of the mechanics of reality. malfunctions in time. it will be like a computer program with glitches. hallucinations, time anomalies, increased "ghost" activity, disappearances


4. Fulfillment of Divine Prophecies:
 

* Christian concept of The Rapture -- many highly enlightened souls will leave the Earth with their bodies -- just completely disappear off the planet.


* Mayan 2012 -- The dividing line between history as we know it from Sumeria until now and what it is to become. Some of this is because of the ravaged state of the Earth. And some is because of the highly evolving human consciousness. There will be Earth polarity issues that will not destroy the planet but really mess up the nature of reality as we know it. 


* Pay credence to Mormon prophecy, because there is something to it


* The New City -- God doesn't build it (directly, at any rate), people do. 


 * Twilight of the Gods - the "Gods" are all those seemingly all-powerful things on Earth right now. 


* A birth of a child does set the really major events off -- just by the simple fact of the child's birth 


*  War between good & evil -- between angelic & demonic human hosts

2012 Thoughts

I did want to get in a comment or two about the "Mayan Apocalypse" looming swift over our heads.

I've been through two major "predicted" end-of-the-world dates, the first being Y2K and the second of course Mr. Harold Camping. These things are so silly that people literally count down the minutes and seconds towards the "end time," giving a rolling series of "whews!" across the globe as the world as they know it is miraculously still there.

The media has a lot to do with the hysteria over such predictions, though certainly our entertainment does a great job "seeding" the fear into us with dystopic visions for the entire family, from "Hunger Games" to "The Walking Dead." We are, in a way, "primed" to fear the worst. The result? A sense of helplessness and fatalism. An "enjoy life now" sort of mantra played over and over again in our subconscious, giving us "permission" to do any number of stupid things that will ultimately add up to our physical, mental, financial, and spiritual ruin.

The catchphrase of the moment is "YOLO" -- you only live once. It might as well be the catchphrase for this 2012 thing, a trademarked catchphrase for a largely marketed-out-of-whole cloth scenario. While I respect the opinions of some, like Terrence McKenna's "singularity" 2012 date and so on, it is clear to me that others have calculatingly used 2012 as a gimmick that launched a thousand ships.

This is not to say that I think it is possible that the world might end at some other date, though even the phrase "end of the world" is vague and unhelpful. Truth is, Earth has been literally overdue for some sort of massive wipe-out natural cataclysm for some time now -- in fact, it is a head-scratcher for some scientists why it hasn't happened yet.

Honestly, the fact that The End -- or rather, some sort of event that wipes out the world as we know it -- hasn't happened yet is very suspicious to me, as is our sudden rapid development in technology and (at least, for some) spiritual evolution since the turn of the century. In short, I believe that the reason things haven't "ended" yet is because we all (more or less) are literally keeping this solid reality around as a subconscious group effort. It is consensual reality practiced on a global scale -- with ever-increasing bits and pieces of us "popping off the grid" as we rise in consciousness.

And this "popping off the grid" is the true "Rapture." As more of us wake up to the true nature of existence, the consensual reality takes more and more of a "hit" -- weakening. And this scares the living hell out of people who have a "Nothing's Going To Change My World" attitude. That is their true "End of the World."

And so I see our current consensual reality as being "under attack" by this rising tide of new consciousness. Rather, people on the "losing" side of the evolutionary track (a track that up until recently has most been only about the physical/biological, but has now shifted to the spiritual) see this as an attack, as a herald of Doom. This fear is nakedly on display on Drudge Report on any given day.

And it is possible that 2012 marks the "tipping point," if you will. I can buy that.

What we really have to watch for are not these predicted doom dates, but the push-back from those who refuse to let go of the consensual reality they have known for so long. This push-back is everywhere, often using the poor, people of color, unions, women, and homosexuals as scapegoats.

But we have to defuse the push-back by not pushing back in return. We have to convert this negative energy into positive energy. That is literally our fucking mission at this point, and we each do it according to our special skills -- writing, blogging, social work, social activism, art, protests, journalism, movie-making, and a thousand little gestures and words sprinkled throughout our days.

Books of Revelations and tales of Mayan End-Times can have some interesting -- and even, to those who understand, valuable -- insights. But they are too easily used as electric prodding sticks to corral the masses.

Aquaphobia: Apocalypse, or Age of Aquarius?

 A widely passed-around New York Times article appropriately titled for 2012/apocalyptic flair, "Is This The End?", postulates that sometime in the future -- as close as 50 years from now -- all of New York City will sink into the water, a modern-day version of Atlantis. While couched in a plea for New York's government to recognize the seriousness of climate change, the piece evokes a larger, rather wistful eschatological feeling, almost seeing the eventual demise of my home city as part of an overall civilizations-destroying circle of life.

Is that NYT post simply another symptom of the current End-Of-The-World Romanticism that has always infused our popular culture -- through Hiroshima, through the Cold War and the Atomic Age, through the ashes of idealism in the paranoid 1970s, through Y2K, 9/11, and barreling straight down into the end of this sort of "fated" year?

 No; I believe that within 50 years or so, maybe earlier, the islands of New York City will experience, at the very least, significant damage due to water. I know what you're probably thinking next, the most important of factors to consider here: where do we put all the important works of art? How do we preserve the punk scene monuments and the Apple Stores?

About 6 years ago, a boyfriend who lived in the Lower East Side, right at the edge of Alphabet City, told me of a dream he had about looking out the window of his co-op and seeing nothing but water. After Hurricane Sandy, I'm sure a portion of that dream might have become a reality. Or maybe it was foretelling an even more distant time in the future. At any rate, the dream bothered him quite a bit, and he mulled selling his place and moving.

I dream a lot about such things as well. I often look out at the NYC skyline from my subway train and think: "one day, this will all be gone," most likely due to the very conditions outlined in another article that ran in NYT the same day as "Is This The End?", "Rising Seas, Vanishing Coastlines." Maybe they'll know in advance and start moving everything to a "New New York City" somewhere more inland; maybe they can lease out Detroit. I have dreams of water decimating cities all the time.

But perhaps such flood dreams are simply primal, part of our DNA; certainly, they pre-date the Bible and the story of Noah. And they are seeded into our pop-culture in countless movies, such as "The Last Wave":

and, of course, "2012":

The catch-phrase for "2012," by the way, was "We Were Warned" -- which is basically the "message" of both NYT articles cited here. While I do believe in climate change and global warming as contributing factors to the "crazy" weather we have had as of late, I only think this is part of the story -- the other part being, the Earth, much like humanity (we'd like to think, anyway,), is a dynamic system that is constantly changing.

Yes, "We Were Warned" but there is only so much we can do -- and that goes beyond recycling our cans. We need to be smart and start moving our cities off coastlines now -- and pour more money into space exploration so we can eventually get off this rock.

Being a Pisces, I love comic books and stories about underwater superheroes like Aquaman, The Submariner, and the Man From Atlantis. In an "Aquaman" storyline called "American Tidal," San Diego was flooded, and thus dubbed "Sub Diego":

The current storyline in "Aquaman" is called "Throne of Atlantis," in which the underwater denizens of Aquaman's hometown invade the surface-world -- a perfect metaphor for our primal flood-fears:

"The Throne of Atlantis" also mixes in some Lovecraftian "horrors under the sea," a trope that often gets paired with these water-based disaster movies, as in the case with "Cloverfield":

You'll notice that in many of these movies and stories, the mangled Statue of Liberty is showcased in some fashion:

This repeated symbolism of the "Goddess" being torn down is an interesting one, used in all variety of apocalyptic entertainment -- that deserves a post all in itself.

But that brings up the question: does the flood imagery + the eschatological elements = some sort of actual Age Of Aquarius? Or, connected, an Aeon Of Horus?

Again: that's fodder for a future post. In the meantime: try to stay dry.

"All These Worlds Are Yours Except Europa": A Look Back At "2010"

Editor's note: Here's another one I wrote back in -- you guessed it -- 2010. Though, as I point out, it was a rather inferior movie to "2001," there were many interesting bits to it that referenced myth, astronomy, and, of course, pop-culture syncs. This is going to need a 2012 follow-up on many of the points raised here, I think.

"2010" – the sequel to the classic Stanley Kubrick film "2001" – is a long boring movie. I'm not saying it's a bad movie. But it's like if you took the snail's pace of the Kubrick film but minus Kubrick's genius. Nevertheless, it contains quite a number of interesting ideas, such as "The Alien Savior Theory," "The Two Suns" theory, and a very deep connnection to "Star Trek III."

The movie starts with a long boring talk between Dr. Floyd (played by Roy Scheider) and some Russian scientist. The gist is, the Russians want to find the ship that disappeared in "2001," and reactivate HAL. The ship/HAL is moored somewhere around Jupiter. The Russian scientist blames America for not sharing the Monolith with the rest of the world. Scheider's taut facial skin grimaces in sympathy.

Roy Scheider maintains this expression through the entire movie.

The film was made in 1984, so you can expect a fair amount of Cold War tension in "2010"; remember, this is the year "Red Dawn" came out. In fact, the film seems to be way more concerned with American/Russian relations than the Monolith, HAL, Dave Bowman, or space exploration. Throughout the film, you can almost hear Sting sing "Russians."

Can you guess who the "world leaders" are on this magazine cover?

Meanwhile, the scientist who created HAL, Dr. Chandra, talks to his new computer, SAL, about bringing HAL back. SAL is voiced by Candice Bergen (sort of doing her version of Charlie McCarthy) and seems to share HAL's passive-aggressive tendencies. Bob Balaban plays Dr. Chandra as a small nervous quiet man who successfully contains a great deal of unexpressed inner rage, which is a real stretch for him.

Now Dr. Floyd, Dr. Chandra, and a very low-key but still quite neurotic John Lithgow join a Russian team of scientists on a mission to Jupiter. The leader of the Russian mission is played by Helen Mirren, back when she was young and not an unusually sexy 60-year-old. The Russians don't trust the Americans and act robotic. It's up to the plucky Americans to get the Russians to smile.

Will Helen Mirren smile? Stay tuned!

At this point of the film, you might be wondering where the hell is HAL, Dave Bowman, the Monolith, the apes with their tools, the Starchild, and everything else. Instead, we are treated to verrrrry slow scenes onboard the ship going over procedure or the whole Americans trying to make the Russians smile thing. In one scene, you actually root for Lithgow's character to die, just for something exciting to happen.

Zzzzzz...

But lo! Dave Bowman mysteriously appears on his former wife's TV screen and brushes his mother's hair as a ghost. He talks of an exciting new thing happening that will change the world forever. Then: back to more space ship procedure and making the Russians smile. Mirren's character finally smiles. Yay.


Suddenly, Russia and America are at war. Dr. Floyd's team is recalled from the Russian ship. Then Dr. Floyd is contacted by the mysterious Dave Bowman via the reactivated HAL. We discover that the real reason HAL went crazy in the first movie is Because It's All The American Government's Fault. Bowman's appearance is the best scene in the entire film, because you are so lulled into a semi-comatose state by this point that seeing Bowman as The Old Guy and The Really Old Guy and the Starchild really wakes you up. Dr Floyd is told by Bowman to clear out in two days, because something really awesome is going to happen.

A whole bunch of Monoliths fly to Jupiter and the planet starts to eat itself. The Russian spaceship hightails it out of there, and HAL tragically sacrifices himself to save everyone. Jupiter turns into a small sun. A message beams out to all the people of Earth:

"ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS EXCEPT EUROPA. ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE. USE THEM TOGETHER. USE THEM IN PEACE."

Jupiter's moon Europa, meanwhile, is benefiting from the new heat source and is seen rapidly developing a lush rainforest-like landscape.

Now Earth has two suns, and its inhabitants are joined together in peace. The Russians have learned how to smile. The End.

Some points to absorb that might or might not have relevance:

The Aliens are here to bring about a New Age of peace...right?

1. The film features the classic "Alien Saviors" plotline. Aliens contact earth and offer world peace. Sometimes they engineer some sort of "crisis" or grand event to get our attention and realize that we are all citizens on planet earth. Right before I watched "2010," I viewed the old "To Serve Man" episode of "Twilight Zone." Similar plot, very different outcome. Are the aliens here to truly offer world peace and facilitate our evolution, or do they in the end want to simply eat us? Many science-fiction films struggle with this question.

There are many similarities between "2010" and "Star Trek III"

2. Europa turns into some sort of "Genesis" planet, a new Eden: much like the "Genesis" planet featured in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock" the same year. In both films, the war/tension between two groups/cultures (Russian/American, Klingon/Federation) is a main theme. In both films, there is a central iconic character who seemingly died in the previous movie but might be resurrected (Dave Bowman/Spock). Both films feature a New Eden planet artificially created to jumpstart life (Europa/Genesis). Both films feature the destruction of the famous ship from the previous/initial film (Discovery/Enterprise) – this destruction proceeds despite/to spite government officials back home. Lastly, Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry was very influenced by the work of "2001"/"2010" novel scribe Arthur C. Clarke.

3. The theme of "two suns" is also featured in "Star Wars" (the two suns of Tattoine).

4. To relate some of these themes with "real life":

• The names of both the "2001"/"2010" ships (Discovery) and Star Trek's ship (Enterprise) were used as that of actual space shuttles. The Space Shuttle Discovery was launched the same year "2010" was released (1984).
• Scientists believe that with the oxygen in its atmosphere and likely underground cache of liquid water, Europa is a very good candidate for containing/sustaining extraterrestrial life.
• Scientists say that other Earth-like planets with two suns are likely.
• There are many conspiracy theories surrounding the emergence of a second sun in our solar system, 2012, "The End of the World," Jupiter igniting and turning into a sun, the Mayans, the aliens, kitchen sink, etc. It would take more research on my end to determine whether those theories are directly/indirectly inspired by the movie "2010," have pre-existed "2010," or whether there are common streams that both the conspiracy theorists and Arthur C. Clarke have been influenced by.
• There are also conspiracy theories floating around that this year (2010) will be the one where we are officially told that alien contact has been made with Earth ("disclosure"). This theory is linked with the movie's tagline "The Year We Make Contact."
