Reptilian Theory, 101

Posted on 20:05 by omprakash
Mr. Burns: a classic Reptilian archetype

Have you ever encountered a really cold-blooded, calculating individual who had such a small regard for the lives & dignity of others that you thought that they couldn’t possibly be human? And what’s more astonishing: this certain type of individual more often than not is an upstanding member of society, elegant in presentation & attire, and basically the perfect type of person to be a politician, leader of industry, or other authoritarian & exalted position.

It’s the sort of person who can make decisions like defrauding the investors in his company, or initiating a military action that they know will leave thousands of people dead. It is precisely the existence of these rather unsavory individuals which I think has led to the Reptilian theory–the theory that shape-shifting reptile-like aliens are controlling the planet in a global conspiracy.

Then again, could the theory actually be literally true?

At the very least, I believe that people who are cold, calculating, and seemingly devoid of real human feeling & empathy project an “aura” that would be considered “reptile” in nature.  Psychically sensitive individuals can intuitively pick up such a reptile nature.

Patrick Bateman could be considered "Reptilian" in nature

Also, there is the possibility that shamans traveling within other aspects of reality could actually “see” these individuals as reptile in form.  Or that people, seen from other dimensions or in the Dreamscape, take on the form of their actual nature.  So in the Dreamscape Mr. Burns from "The Simpsons is definitely a greenie."

Then again, could the theory actually be literally true?

The biggest & most outspoken proponent of the Reptilian theory is David Icke.  He believes that there are definitely shape-shifting reptiles in prominent places of the global conspiracy that he refers to as “The Biggest Secret.” Icke goes so far as to name them: the likes of Prince Charles & George Bush!

These reptiles come from a planet that is no longer able to sustain life, so they consider their “outpost” Earth to be Home and their property. The reptilians can disguise themselves as humans but every once in a blue moon their disguise “slips” and humans see them for what they are. They also need human blood to survive, which they ingest during the course of human sacrifices.

This Reptilian is upset at being discovered

There is a related-yet-separate theory from the cryptozoologist John Rhodes. He believes that Reptilians evolved on earth as an offshoot of the dinosaurs.  With the ascent of humans, the Reptilians went underground, literally: under the earth.  According to Rhodes, the sightings of reptile-like humanoids–like the ones that Icke mentions–are not of extraterrestrial beings at all, but of these reclusive Earth-born creatures.

This one might be friendly but just misunderstood

There is yet another variation on the Reptilian theory that I find personally interesting.  It’s the vampire-Reptilian connection: Both shapeshift, drink blood, are cold-blooded, live very long lives, are involved in a conspiracy to eat/enslave mankind, are very concerned with bloodlines, can hypnotize people with a stare, etc.

Cold-blooded bloodsucker: Dracula

According to some theorists, there have always been Reptilians, and the vampire folklore was built as a way to explain the reptilian presence on Earth. Vlad Tepes, the historical "Count Dracula," is also worked into the conspiracy. As well as, to my surprise, even stuff from Anne Rice novels!

One of the most primal Reptilian images of the late 20th Century

And of course there is the question of Reptilian images in pop-culture.  Movies & TV shows like V the mini-series, Enemy Mine, even (symbolically) They Live.  What came first, V or the Reptilian theory?

Then again, could the theory actually be literally true?

Humanity vs. Reptile: The Eternal Struggle

I generally keep an open mind, and consider myself a humble explorer into the realms of “forbidden science,” as Charles Fort might have said.  If I had to pick a point of view to lean towards, it would be the idea that some people have a genuine "reptilian" aura about them that you know as soon as you interact with them (especially if you're psychically sensitive). This does not mean that they are actual reptile creatures from Inner Earth or Outer Space -- but simply psychopaths operating from their primal "lizard brain."

Lizard Brain

These primal "lizard" responses from deep within our biological imperatives include a lack of remorse, unfettered greed, and sadism. I believe there is a portion of our society that operates out of this lizard-brain mentality...and, essentially, ruins it for everybody. It's because of this relatively small portion of society that we cannot have a utopia without the need for limits and laws, because these psychopaths would take advantage of every opportunity and loophole to indulge their primal urges regardless of who gets trampled on in the process.

That said, there is something to be said for the wider archetype, one that encompasses not only the Reptilian "look" but that of green aliens, dragons, vampires, demons, etc. And there are so many potentially weird aspects of inter- and outer-dimensionality that the existence of such creatures–specifically reptile or not–probably couldn't be 100% ruled out.

Reptilians, Skrulls, Chitauri, Oh My!

Posted on 12:11 by omprakash

In hardcore conspiracy theorist circles, one of the most prevailing and popular theories is that of the "Reptilians."

In brief, the theory goes that there are reptile-like "shape-shifters" who have infiltrated our society. The origin of these green shape-shifters depends on who's telling the tale. Some say that they are fairly recent visitors from another planet, others claim that they are indigenous to Earth and evolved from dinosaurs parallel to human development. But a key part of most of these theories circles around the creatures' ability to take the form of other humans.

Reptilian

According to popular conspiracy theorist/new age dude David Icke, the Reptilians have committed their deception at the highest levels of government and high society. From the Wikipedia entry on Icke:

"In 1999, he published The Biggest Secret, in which he wrote that the Illuminati are a race of reptilian humanoids known as the Babylonian Brotherhood, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie."
The idea of the "Illuminati" is another quite popular both with Icke and conspiracy circles in general. It is also the name of the comic that more or less "officially" kicked off Marvel's "Secret Invasion" series of books, a series that concerned a shape-shifting alien race called "Skrulls" who had infiltrated the Earth ages ago, impersonating human beings.

Skrull

It would seem that the Reptilian theory is quite similar to the crux of the "Secret Invasion" plot -- that green shape-shifters from another planet have taken the guise of prominent world figures and plan to take humanity over from within.

Now, the Skrulls, as far as I know, were invented in the early 1960s by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They predated the Reptilian theory by several decades. It might even be possible that the champions of the theory have simply been influenced by the comics of their youth but don't consciously remember it.

None of this is to say that the "Secret Invasion" plot was ripped off of a popular conspiracy theory (though if he did, it would be nothing to be ashamed about -- Grant Morrison has been doing the very same thing for years). The archetype of the green invader from another planet, the reptile-appearing alien, and the extraterrestrial shape-shifter covertly disguised as human has been with us for some time. In the end, unless you are a talented folklorist, it might be impossible to tease out where these ideas all started.

For example, regard the 1980s ABC miniseries "V," in which Reptilians in human "skin" set out to enslave humanity:

Now flashforward to another ABC show this Fall, the sitcom "The Neighbors." It also features Reptilian-looking aliens who masquerade as humans, the Zabvronians:

Only this time around, they are portrayed truly as our "friends":

A final point that brings this discussion all the way back to David Icke. In the "Avengers" movie, the Skrulls were replaced with their "analogues" if you will, the Chitauri:

In Marvel's alternate Earth "Ultimate" line of comics, the Chitauri are a version of the Skrulls, and are shapeshifters:

But I have heard of the Chitauri way before I read either the "Ultimate" comics (first published in 2002) or watched "The Avengers." And that's because I viewed the series of interviews David Icke had with Zulu Shaman Credo Mutwa, released on a videotape/DVD called "The Reptilian Agenda" in 1999.

Here is Mutwa's illustration of the alien race called the Chitauri, his knowledge of which he claimed to have received through his ancestors:

...and that's where I'll end this post.
